Active Directory Error Codes

When running a manual sync of Active Directory and set-up configuration there are sometimes error codes and issues that may occur. Below are some of them outlined and potential resolutions before contacting Technical Support.

Errors And Troubleshooting Steps

Error – “Could Not Bind Privileged User. Ldap Error Code =-1 – Can’t Contact LDAP Server”

  • Ensure all Spambrella IP ranges are correctly whitelisted on your firewall: (Including the 148.xxx breakdown). For a list of IP ranges, see our article Data Center Information.
  • Under ACTIVE DIRECTORY CONNECTION SETTINGS, ensure the Username is a Domain Admin for that domain.
  • Ensure TLS is enabled. We use TLS version 1.2 or newer.

Error – LDAP Binding Failed With The Following Error: ‘Invalid Credentials’

  • Confirm that the username and password are correct.

Error: Failed To Connect To DC (Connection Refused). Error Code (111)
